THE
DESTINY OF MISTER "del gheno"
Mister
del gheno is a pup of our kennel, Allevamento del gheno Neapolitan
Mastiff, born on 18th August 2007 as well as many brothers and sisters
during a very hot day
I have already seen his destiny since the very first sight…
…I remember a person from Germany, a serious businessman, who
wanted to have a pup immediately. He arrived at the kennel without
even a phone call, he just wanted a real Mastino, one of those he
would’t have found in his country, as he said.
The litter of Mister was the only litter at that moment, these pups
were about three months, so I said him that if he would have slept
near here, the following day I was able to give him a super pup with
all the documentation ready.
At 1 o’clock, as agreed, he arrived with his big Porsche Cayenne,
he paid, and left back to Germany with the new pup and a couple of
bags of food.
The whole litter was growing very well… but
The day before Christmas the man from Berlin called me saying that
Mister was not the dog he wanted, and said he was not a first quality
dog. He wanted to bring him back here and have his money back.
I accepted the deal, but I made him promised that during one of his
next business trip in Italy he would have come to see how that dog
was growing.
At the same time I promised to myself that he would be remained in
this kennel.
Now he is 15 months, he is a big pup, happy to be at home, together
with a lot of young females which split the food with him, the training
sessions on the treadmill, the time of games…
He is a very correct dog, healthy, fast, with huge muscles, and a
big sixth sense for guard, a big kid already scary for his enormous
wrinkled head.
Maybe he has already chosen his first girlfriend! Who knows?
I decided to write this story after the visit of that man, when Mister
turned 14 months.
The very first thing he said in the kennel was, who is that dog? I
want one like that.
(In the meantime he already bought another somewhere in Italy, but
unfortunately he was already underground).
After his question we started laughing and answered him that dog was
Mister, the poor pup he refused, and we proved it with the electronic
reading of the microchip.
He was literally astonished and started eating his fingers!
We also showed him the certificate of his first show, a deserved 1st
Best in Show young.
Ah… for the lovers of the happy endings, he tried to persuade
us with a generous offer, but Mister is still in this kennel, destined
to become the next stud of home.

DESTINO DI MISTER "del
gheno"
Mister
del gheno è un cucciolo del nostro allevamento nato il 18 Agosto
del 2007 in un giorno molto caldo assieme ad altri della sua numerosa
cucciolata.
In lui vidi già il suo destino…
Mi ricordo di un cliente dalla Germania, a quanto pare molto potente
e autoritario, che voleva un cucciolo subito al momento, era arrivato
anche senza preavviso, voleva uno di quegli esemplari di mastino con
la M maiuscola, uno di quelli che come diceva, nel suo paese non poteva
trovare.
Dato che Mister e la sua cucciolata fecero tre mesi qualche giorno
prima, dissi al cliente che se pernottava in zona, il giorno seguente
(giusto il tempo per fare i documenti) avrebbe avuto un cucciolo che
sarebbe diventato importante.
All’una spaccata, come pattuito, arrivò nella sua Porsche
Cayenne e, dopo aver caricato Mister e un paio di sacchi di mangime
in omaggio, pagò e riparti per Berlino.
La cucciolata cresceva molto bene e molto in fretta… finchè…
la Vigilia di Natale il cliente di Berlino mi chiamò con l’interprete
dicendo che il cucciolo Mister non era quello che voleva, che fatto
valutare anche da altri esperti cinofili e veterinari del suo paese
non era un mastino napoletano di 1° scelta , in breve voleva riportarmelo
a tutti i costi ed essere risarcito.
Ovviamente non mi opposi e acconsentii al risarcimento, ma gli feci
promettere che in uno dei suoi prossimi viaggi d’affari in Italia
sarebbe tornato a vedere come fosse cresciuto.
Cosi il cucciolone tornò a casa e da quel momento mi ripromisi
che sarebbe rimasto in allevamento.
Ora Mister ha 15 mesi, è un cucciolone felice di essere tornato
a casa in mezzo a tante bellissime femmine, con le quali trascorre
le giornate, divide il pranzo e i momenti di allenamento sul tapis
roulant. Èun esemplare molto corretto, agile, muscoloso, con
un gran fiuto per la guardia, un bambinone già spaventoso per
il suo testone grosso e rugoso, …chissà magari avrà
già scelto la sua prima femmina…
Decisi di scrivere questa storia dopo la visita del signore di Berlino,
quando Mister aveva appena fatto 14 mesi.
La prima cosa che disse fu chi è quel cane, ne voglio uno cosi…
(nel frattempo ne aveva acquistato uno in Italia ma purtroppo l’aveva
già sotterrato), e dopo aver saputo che era Mister, il povero
cucciolo che aveva riportato indietro, diventò ancora più
scettico, cosi con la lettura elettronica del microchip gli dimostrammo
che era effettivamente lui… si mangiò letteralmente le
unghie, e forse anche le dita…
Gli mostrammo anche il certificato del suo primo show, un bellissimo
e meritato primo posto Best in Show giovani!
Ah, per gli amanti delle storie a lieto fine… nonostante la
generosa offerta avanzata dal grottesco uomo d’affari, Mister
è tuttora in allevamento, destinato a diventare il prossimo
stallone di casa.
